Gentle Stress Management Program.
Manage your Mind - Manage your Life.

Over the past few years psychologists have been researching the benefits of mindfulness
They wanted to understand the benefits of mindfulness meditation and why it is so therapeutic for some people. It has been scientifically proven to help people with emotional and physical conditions. According to research conducted over the past twenty five years mindfulness meditation training can do all of the following:

  • Decrease Depression
  • Decrease Anxiety
  • Increase tolerance to stress
  • Help with eating disorders
  • Decrease pain levels
  • Slow the heart rate and decrease blood pressure
  • Help with insomnia
  • Increase the ability to relax

Paying attention to the present moment can improve the functioning of the body and the brain.
The first way is to make you less reactive, when you slow down you can think more clearly. You respond thoughtfully instead of reacting.
The second way is to be more aware of your body, when you are in a mindfulness state your body experiences relaxation, your body cannot be relaxed and stressed at the same time. When you practise mindfulness you can create neural pathways in your brain as you do when you study and learn any new skill; you experience a positive way of thinking and in turn experience a positive state of wellbeing.
